Stitch’s Holiday Gift Hunt

My husband and I were able to explore Disney Springs on Monday and check out a lot of the Christmas decor and the Christmas Tree Trail, which I loved.  We even partook in Stitch’s Holiday Gift Hunt.  Yes… We are kids at heart and even adults can hunt (without kids).  I recommend doing this while you are in Disney Springs.  First and foremost, it is FREE.  Whether you are doing it for yourself or with a child, you can not beat free.  I do wish some of the hiding spots would have been a little more of a challenge, but overall no complaints.  If it was a crowded night, it would have been much more challenging.  We were there on a Monday morning, so there were not too many other people.

Christmas Tree Trail at Disney Springs

I LOVE Christmas!  It is my favorite time of the year…I know how cliché I sound, but it is true.  I love the decorations and all the creativity going in to decorating.  The Christmas Tree Trail at Disney Springs did not disappoint.  The trees are all themed for different movies or characters and the details are worth the visit.  The pictures do not do justice to some of these trees.  It felt like a mini-scavenger hunt finding all the little details within each tree.  Admittedly, there are definitely some trees that are WAY better than other trees.  As much of a Star Wars fan as my family has become, I felt the Star Wars tree was lacking in creativity compared to many of the other trees.

What age should I take my child to Disney?

Two is better than one.

This is one of the top questions I get and also one of the top debates people have over Disney.  At some point, everyone asks “What age should I take my child to Disney“.  I’m sure if you have talked about Disney at all, you have asked it too.  Some answers I have heard: “Don’t take them until after 5…You want them to remember it” , “Wait until first grade, so they understand it” or “Take them before they are 3, while they are free“.   I am a firm believer Continue reading “What age should I take my child to Disney?”

Dos and Don’ts of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) has surprisingly been around since 1983.  Party dates begin in early November and continue until right before Christmas.  There is nothing to get you more in the Christmas spirit, than Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.  It truly brings my heart (and stomach) joy.  Over the years, we have come up with a great list of Dos and Don’ts.  Continue reading “Dos and Don’ts of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party”

Toy Story Land Weekend

The anticipation for the opening of Toy Story Land was incredibly high.  As many of you read in the post leading up to my last trip, I was beyond excited.  It was definitely one of my most memorable times in Disney World.  There was so much energy and so much excitement in the air.  It was hard to help getting wrapped up in all of it.  We arrived on Thursday late afternoon at Disney’s All-Star Music.  There was a small snafu with our room (yes, even travel agents have snafus).  Disney was Continue reading “Toy Story Land Weekend”

Packing List: Adult trip

Disney is not just for the kids.  If you are a kid at heart or just love food, then you might be thinking about a trip without the kids or before kids.  I LOVE taking my kids to Disney, but also love my adult trips.  I am all about a packing list and wanted to share my personal park packing list for my bag.

First off, if you don’t feel you need a bag, do not take a bag.  Life will be super easy for you, since you can avoid the bag check lines.  I am not one of those people Continue reading “Packing List: Adult trip”

Dos and Don’ts of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party (aka MNSSHP) started in 1995 and was originally only held on Halloween night.  The party gradually grew in popularity from year to year and is now offered on select nights August-October at the Magic Kingdom.  It is my children’s favorite event and one we try to attend every year.  If you are on the fence, it is 100% worth it!  Over the years, we have come up with a great list of Dos and Don’ts.
