If you have heard anything about dining at Disney World, then you have probably heard about the sought after reservations at Be Our Guest. Whether it is the quick service breakfast/lunch or the table service dinner, Be Our Guest is one of the most difficult reservations to get and the only quick service that requires reservations. However, just getting the quick service breakfast or lunch reservation doesn’t end your preparations. It is INCREDIBLY recommended that Continue reading “Why you should ALWAYS preorder your food at Be Our Guest quick service”
This app is a MUST for any Disney World trip. If you haven’t already, download the app from your App Store (or from this link) and start familiarizing yourself with it. You will be thankful you did. Trust me!
Complete honesty, the app can be overwhelming. There is so much information there and it does so much. I do not want anyone to get to the park and open it for the first time and just delete it because it is too difficult to use. It is an amazing resource and I hope to help make it a great resource to you and not an enhancement to your trip. So here are some basics (and advanced courses) of the My Disney Experience (MDE) App. Continue reading “My Disney Experience App 101”
I am always looking for a good packing list. We have travelled a lot with the kids as babies and toddlers, so here is what I take to the parks:
Above is a photo of what’s in my backpack…. A lot of stuff, but I Continue reading “Park Packing List: Being Prepared for Disney”
We love the Disney Dining Plan at my house. For those of you that don’t know much about me, I graduated college with a degree in Statistics (yes, I am a nerd). I completely nerd out over anything number related….No joke! So, the Disney Dining Plan is like a fun game to me. I try to find some of the best uses for various credits to ensure that I have maximized it. I wanted to share some of my favorites and tips to help you too.
This is one of the most common questions I get and my answer is always the same: Now. I know that sounds crazy, but it is true. If you are thinking about going to Disney World, it is never too early to start planning, but there are some key days to keep in mind:
- 499 days prior to check-in – This is the earliest you can make a room reservation.
- 180 days prior to check-in – This is when dining reservations can be made and for those high demand dining reservations, it is important to make them this far in advance. Seriously.
- 60 days prior to check-in – This is when you can make your FastPass+ reservations. This is a huge advantage of staying at a Disney Resort and one you should definitely take advantage of at the 60 day mark. FastPass+ reservations can be made starting at 7am.
There are 3 different dining plan options: Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, Disney Dining Plan and Disney Deluxe Dining Plan.
Let’s start with the basics — The dining plan works with “credits.” There is no monetary value to a “credit”, but there are different types of credits: snack, quick-service and table-service.
What qualifies as a snack credit?
Anything with the Disney Dining Plan logo next to it qualifies as a snack credit. The variety is enormous. Examples would be something small like a banana, a bottle of water or a granola bar. Snack credits can also be something larger like Continue reading “Which Disney Dining Plan is right for you?”
